Children and Youth Theatre "piccolo"

Since 1991 the "piccolo" theatre exists as a theatre for children and teenagers. Since 1997 it has been a private theatre supported by the city of Cottbus and the Land Brandenburg.

The theatre producers' work is almost exclusively for school classes, nurseries and other childrens' groups. For this reason, most of the performances take place in the morning. The permanent repertoire is therefore predominantly oriented towards school topics and includes about 10 plays. Each time a play is performed, 3 - 4 new pieces are added, while some of the old ones are maintained.

The piccolo is located in the city centre, not far from the Stadthalle.
