New city hall

It was erected from 1934 - 1936. Above the pillars' colonnade in the Berliner Straße you can find reliefs showing symbols of traditional handicraft. There is also a tablet bearing the inscription that there has been the birthplace of the famous painter Carl Blechen.

The walk of fame
In the way before the city hall the medallions which testify from more than 100 years of Olympic history of the modern times have been let. They honour the 31 sportsmen or winners from Cottbus who could gain these medallions.
