The Development
Road Transportation
The location disposes of a good traffic development.
Cottbus is located at the intersection of the European North-South and East-West corridors; Oslo, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest as well as London/Paris, Berlin, Moscow (European Scandria Project).
Public Transportation
The regional and interregional public transportation system is guaranteed through the multiplicity of rail and bus connections.
Railway Transportation
If requirement is proved, by means of a self-financed new short Rail line to the TIP – Cottbus the rail hub Cottbus can become a platform for rail transportation in all directions, for Example to Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig and to Polish and Czech cities.
Air Transportation
The international airport BBI can be reached in about 50 minutes by taking the highway; travel times for rail passengers will be reduced after completion of the rail network expansion measure. The airports in Dresden and Leipzig can also be reached in 90 and 140 minutes respectively. The airfields Drewitz and Neuhausen are available for regional use.
Municipal Infrastructure
High capacity supply and waste disposal systems for the ground development (district heating, gas, telecommunications, electricity, drinking water and sewage) are available on site. In case of increased demand a customized expansion is possible on short notice.
