Galerie HAUS 23

The gallery was founded still in GDR time in 1989 and is based on a private initiative. It is now a place for art exhibitions, performances and scene meetings.

Many young artists from Eastern Germany as well as artists from Eastern Europe and countries from the developing world can present their work and projects here - providing an insight into foreign cultures and different forms of art.

The workshop gives a scope for innovations and is also a working area for the exhibitions.

Small chamber music, jazz, rock and even experimental music concerts accompany the exhibitions and projects. The cinema in the yard of the scene tavern is worth a visit in the summer.
