Cottbus is a paradise for park lovers. The new Spreeauen Park, the zoo and the world-famous landscape Branitz Park of the Fürst Hermann of Pückler-Muskau have all been laid since the German landscape and gardening exhibition of 1995. The old and new parks which reach into the city centre became the city's trademark.
