Dear international guests and foreign citizens!
Welcome to Cottbus! Enjoy your stay here and we hope you will have a good impression of our city!
Cottbus has developed to a multi-national city in the heart of Europe and will gain increasing importance due to the eastern expansion of the European Union. Today it is a matter of course that people from other countries make up part of the more than 100,000 residents of our city. These people are often no longer seen as foreigners. They work, study and live here and they enrich our city's culture and development. People from more than 100 nations are living in Cottbus, also refugees from several countries have a new home here.
In order to provide you with a pleasant stay here in Cottbus, we would like to be able to offer you useful information whether you are a tourist, work here, study or stay in our city for any reason. As a citizen or guest it may not always be easy to find out about the city's public administration and other services.
Therefore we hope our information service will be helpful for you.
I would like to inform you about useful contact addresses which aim to answer any questions or queries you may have within the public authorities. You can also access many of these addresses via the internet. In this way you can receive further information.
